It wasn't a mistake. Mark told that Robot what his counterpart was planning to do. This robot didn't experience 700 years in the flaxan dimension like Rex Robot did. In my opinion, after hearing what his evil counterpart did, and seeing that there was a good Mark out there, made it so that this Robot wouldn't become a tyrant.

Destruction of VIltrum was a bad move. Thats what threw Thragg over the edge. Thragg was VERY diplomatic prior to learning Omni-Man's identity/lineage. They could have cut the same deal w/o the destruction of Viltrum and Thragg prolly would have been more open to mingling with humanity.

Yes I literally finished reading the entire comic book series last night. And when I saw that panel I was shocked. I saw season 2 before reading the run. So it was shocking to me. I think his son may still be alive because he was basically killed off screen. And anytime someone is killed off screen they're very likely to basically not be dead. This would be an entirely different arc than what is seen in the comics. The comics did end with what seemed like setup for future conflicts. So maybe the show will explore some of this as it goes on
